B.A.D Springfest Run

The place and time for everyone to gather on the day will be the Mill cafe, Ballan. Those participating should arrive in their own time, but please note the departure time for the group from Ballan to drive to Lake Wendouree will be 10am sharp, so those wishing to allow leisurely time for a morning coffee break/breakfast should aim to arrive in Ballan much earlier. For those arriving early but bringing their own morning snacks, there is a park nearby, or the Mill Cafe has given permission for people to set-up in their car park.

Travelling west along the Western Highway, take the first Ballan turn off, approximately 4km after passing Pykes Creek Reservoir, take left and follow the road into Ballan. The Mill Cafe is located on your right, about 100 metres before the only roundabout in the main street. There is a car park at the rear of the cafe but also plenty of street parking available.

The Springfest organisers need to know the number of vehicles that will be there on the day so an adequate number of reserved parking spaces can be arranged, therefore it would be appreciated if those intending to attend could notify:-

The aim is to be in place at the designated parking area adjacent to the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, at an earlier time than has been the case in previous years, so more of the activities can be explored – perhaps, for the more ambitious, even a full 6.2km walk around the Lake’s circumference is notout of the question!

In addition, this year we also hope to arrange as many Triumphs as possible to take part in the Grand Parade around Lake Wendouree commencing at 1.00pm
